Kevin Durant scored a career-best 51 points for the top performance in the NBA this season, and the host Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets 124-118 in overtime Sunday.

Russell Westbrook added 40 and Serge Ibaka had his first career triple-double -- 14 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocks -- for the Thunder.

Durant hit a 3-pointer and drove for a dunk to tie the score with 4.4 seconds left in regulation, then used the extra period to chalk up the first 50-point game of the two-time scoring champion's career.

Fans in the sellout crowd chanted "MVP!" as Durant hit two free throws in the final seconds to seal the victory.

Heat 90, Magic 78: Dwyane Wade scored 27 points and LeBron James had 25 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists as Miami defeated visiting Orlando.

The Heat has won six in a row, each time by double digits.

Wade made 13 of 23 shots, shooting 50 percent or better for the 10th consecutive game.

"Taking high-percentage shots," Wade said. "And just in a groove."

Magic guard Jason Richardson was a late scratch after experiencing chest pain that he thought was associated with heartburn.

Suns 102, Lakers 90: Jared Dudley scored 25 points and Marcin Gortat had 21 points and 15 rebounds as host Phoenix defeated Los Angeles.

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant scored 32 points but was 1 of 8 on 3-pointers and committed 10 Advertisementturnovers.

In a postgame monologue punctuated by a couple of profanities, Bryant said he doesn't want Pau Gasol to be traded but that it's unfair for his teammate to try to play when he doesn't know his fate day to day. Said Bryant: "If they're going to do something, I wish they would just ... do it."

Timberwolves 92, 76ers 91: Kevin Love scored 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, including two free throws with 0.1 seconds left, to lead Minnesota past Philadelphia in Minneapolis.

Love drove to the basket with his head down and tempted Andre Iguodala to reach in and try to swipe the ball away. The whistle sounded, Love walked to the line and swished both shots.

Cavaliers 93, Kings 92: Kyrie Irving's two free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining gave host Cleveland the victory over Sacramento.

Irving was fouled by Tyreke Evans while driving into the lane.

Bucks 92, Nets 85: Ersan Ilyasova had 29 points and 25 rebounds as Milwaukee defeated New Jersey in Newark, N.J.

Celtics: Forward Kevin Garnett did not play in Boston's 96-81 loss to Detroit in Auburn Hills, Mich., because of personal reasons.

ESPN fallout: ESPN announced it has fired one person and suspended another for using an ethnic slur last week in reference to New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin.

The fired employee posted a headline on ESPN.com's mobile website that used the phrase in a headline about Lin after the Knicks' loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Friday.

Max Bretos, an ESPN anchor, was suspended for 30 days for using the same phrase during an interview about Lin.
