The Golden State Warriors earned a road win Wednesday, edging the Phoenix Suns 106-104 on a Monta Ellis fadeaway with one tick left. The Warriors moved to 13-17 on the season. Given how many road games Golden State has left on the schedule, picking up a victory away from home could be a nice confidence boost going into the back half of the season.
Ellis led the Warriors with 26. In other action:
Rockets 93, Sixers 87: Philadelphia dropped its fifth straight game as a balanced effort from Luis Scola, Kevin Martin and Kyle Lowry earned Houston the win. Both teams enter All-Star Weekend at 20-14.
Hornets 89, Cavaliers 84: Marco Belinelli continued his hot streak with 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting, and Chris Kaman had 21 and 13 to lead New Orleans to sweet victory. Kyrie Irving shot just 2-of-13, but had 11 assists.
Kings 115, Wizards 107: Sacramento won the final game of its six-game road trip after starting 0-5. Jordan Crawford scored 32 in the loss. Isaiah Thomas, starting his fourth straight game for Sacramento, had 18 points and six assists.
Raptors 103, Pistons 93: Greg Monroe was again a monster with 30 points and 14 rebounds, but Toronto handled business at home. DeMar DeRozan had 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting.
Pacers 102, Bobcats 88: Indiana's bench saved the day, dominating in the second quarter to stretch out a lead. Tyler Hansbrough led the way with 22.
Magic 108, Nets 91: The Dwight Howard Bowl resulted in a fairly dominant Orlando win, as the All-Star center finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds. New Jersey's backcourt, Deron Williams and MarShon Brooks, was strong with 47 points on 18-of-33 shooting, but it wasn't enough.
Bulls 110, Bucks 91: The Bulls are quite good, and almost unbeatable at home.
